1. General Information
Open Care Data provides publicly available data from the U.S. Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) and related sources. This site is not affiliated with Medicare, CMS, any government agency, or any healthcare provider.
2. No Medical or Legal Advice
The information on this site is provided for informational purposes only. It does not constitute medical, legal, financial, or professional advice. You should always contact facilities directly to confirm details and consult appropriate professionals for specific advice.
3. Accuracy of Data
While we strive to keep information accurate and up to date, Open Care Data cannot guarantee the completeness, timeliness, or accuracy of the data provided. Medicare updates may lag, and facilities may have made changes not yet reflected here.
3a. Ratings, Grades & Opinions
The "Open Care Data Safety Grade," peer benchmarks, and any rankings on this site are Open Care Data's own independent assessments, that is, opinions, derived from public data using a transparent, uniformly-applied method described on our methodology page. They are not official government ratings, and CMS has not reviewed or endorsed them. The same formula is applied to every facility; no facility can pay to change, improve, remove, or hide its grade or record. If you believe a data point is inaccurate, please report a correction.
4. Limitation of Liability
Open Care Data, its developers, and affiliates assume no liability for decisions made based on the use of this site. Use of this site is at your own risk.
5. Use of the Site
You may view and use the information for personal, non-commercial purposes. Any misuse, scraping, or redistribution without permission is prohibited.
6. Changes
We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after updates constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
By using this site, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this disclaimer and agree to these Terms of Use.
